Documentary on local Artists living in Brighton & Hove in East Sussex on the South Coast of England. The Documentary explores how Brighton & Hove has been promoted as a great place for Artists and Creatives to work. However the rising Gentrification of the area has resulted in Artists being driven out, as their workplaces and studios get converted or demolished to make way for housing.
This piece was inspired by both dancers’ experiences working in a COVID ICU as nursing staff during the pandemic. Both dancers wanted to document their experience through this piece. They would like to dedicate this dance to every healthcare worker who showed such courage throughout the pandemic and also to the patients whose lives were sadly lost. Danced and Choreographed by Holly Mann and Scott McDonald
Filmed and Edited by Bill Mitman
